Cordoba a place where people of all beliefs mix in one place. People of diverse cultures and religions (Jews, Muslims and Christians) have put in numerous contributions to the beauty of this outstanding place. A few number of important philosophers, scientists and artists surfaced from here. The contemporary Cordoba is now a Flamenco and Bullfighting township, and undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous places to visit in Southern Spain.
Cordoba´s history is over 2,000 years old. Both the
Romans and Muslims contributed to the city’s status a capital city. Every
culture that has set foot on this city has left its mark, and they remain
evident up to this point in time.
The Moors conquered Cordoba
in 711. During the time of Islamic Rule, Cordoba
shined as the biggest city and was home to the most sophisticated culture and
most developed officialdom in Europe.
